My name is Amy Weston and I'm an accredited counsellor based around Gloucestershire. I have a heart for listening, holding space and helping people reconnect with their voice especially when life has tried to silence it. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space. It is important that you feel heard, understood and accepted just as you are. My approach is grounded in empathy, authencity, and respect for each individuals unique journey.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, healing from trauma or abuse, I'm here to walk alongside you. I believe in the power of connection and conversation to bring clarity, confidence and inner strength. Sometimes just having someone truly listen can make all the difference. Also I believe including creativity in to sessions, can help many individuals express how they are feeling and this can bring a sense of relaxation.
My approach is empathetic and understanding, focusing on your unique challenges.
My mission
I am devoted to providing counselling services for young people aged 12-25 and supporting through lifes ups and down. As a counsellor I am here to help navigate through life's challenges and promote mental well-being. The aim is to navigate life's complexities together.
I have been working closely with young people in a variety of settings for over 10 years and part of my mission at Open to words is to provide a service that young people can easily access.
I believe if young people have access to counselling services and interventions at a young age this helps with gaining key life skills and coping mechanisms that will be carried forward in to adult life which can lead to a more fulfilling life.
